International Award
- ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award: The City of Ilagan was awarded the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award for two consecutive periods (2022-2024 in Cambodia, and 2024-2026 in Vientiane, Lao PDR), recognizing the city’s commitment to cleanliness and sustainable tourism practices.
Regional and National Awards and Recognitions:
- The City of Ilagan was recognized by the Department of Tourism as “Accreditation Champion” for the institutionalization of Mandatory Accreditation of PrimaryTourism Enterprises since 2021. As of today, the City Tourism Office has assisted in the accreditation of 105 Tourism Industry establishments and tour guides.
- The City of Ilagan was recognized and awarded as the only city in Region 2 to adhere to the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) by the Department of Tourism Philippines.
- ATOP Recognition: The Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) recognized the City of Ilagan for its exemplary commitment and proficiency in tourism advancement during the ATOP National Convention in South Cotabato last October 10, 2024.
- NCCA Compliance: The City of Ilagan received a Certificate of Compliance for the timely submission of the Local Cultural Inventory, as mandated by the Cultural Heritage Act of 2009.
- The City of Ilagan Library was recognized and awarded a certificate of 100% compliance and timely submission of monthly and annual reports by the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) for its timely submission of reports for 3 consecutive years (2021, 2022, and 2023).
- Regional Tourism Forum and Synergy Summit held in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, the City of Ilagan received multiple awards, to wit;
- Plaque of Recognition for the Prioritization of Tourism Development through Formulation, Endorsement, and Implementation of LTDP;
- Partner of DOT in bringing National and International Recognition in Region 2;
- Partner of DOT in the development and promotion of new and existing domestic opportunities in Region 2;
- Outstanding Contribution to the promotion of the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence Program;
- ASEAN Tourism Standard as ASEAN Clean Tourist City Standard;
- Eco-Tourism Destination of the Year (Regional Nominee) – Abuan River Adventure Eco Park;
